Surama

images/villageview.jpgAttractions: Surama Village is located near the border of Iwokrama, a reserve dedicated to research, conservation and sustainable development of tropical rain forests. From mountaintop to savannah walk to river trip, Surama has everything to offer. View the wildlife, watch for tropical birds, enjoy mountain hikes, savannah bike tours or wildlife spotting at night.

Accomodations
: The Surama Eco-Lodge can accomodate small or large groups and provides a wonderful place to interact with fellow travellers and local villagers.

Attractions:  Village operated Kuwanaru Tours offers trips to two local Cock of the Rock viewing sites, as well as trips to the local Ite Palm conservation area.













Accomodations: Visitors can enjoy Kuwanaru tours from the nearby villages of Annai or Surama.

Attractions:  The Paurine conservation area allows one of the best views of mountains and savannahs.








Accomodations: Rupertee village visitors can stay 1.5 miles away at the Annai Guest House, or in the village at Rock View Lodge.

Attractions: Aranaputa offers visitors unique opportunities of a different nature, on arrival visitors are introduced to a senior councilor, all visitors are briefed about the activities offered by the community.
The Nature Trail and Rest Cabin is a unique eco-tourism project perched over 1000ft above the community with one of the most fabulous panoramic views of the North Savannah, this eco-tourism project is within the conservation area of the community and has a vast biodiversity habitat, Here visitors have the probability of viewing wildlife animals (Tapir, Jaguars, Monkeys, Macaws, parrots etc), The trained guides will guide visitors through various nature trails for these activities
The Rest Cabin includes a simple kitchen and dining hall and a comfortable hammock resting area, We offer mountain hikes nature trail walks bird watching
